Lalaloopsy Birthday! Part 1: Invitation

Have you seen these cuties? Lalaloopsies are the most adorable little dolls, and even more adorable are the mini versions of them. Both my daughters adore them and have started quite a little collection. Check them out here.

So my daughter turns three years old today, and when I asked her what kind of cake she wanted for her party, she shouted, “LALA-SHUSHI!” (Translation: Lalaloopsy.) So, began the start of another girly party plan. It was tough to make decisions for this one. I knew I didn’t have the energy or resources to throw a mega-bash, like last years Monster Bash, so I settled for a small family affair. We decided to host it at the local pumpkin patch so that there were ready made activities all around us. It was a blast, and I will share the pics later this week.

First up: Lalaloopsy Invitation

I snagged the basic look and feel from the website, and made it my own by adding my own banners and copy block. I didn’t need it very high res, so I used all digital elements. It looks a little muddy. No biggie. I love these two fonts for kid’s birthday invites: SC Gum Kids (Header) and High Fiber (rest of copy). Both downloaded from DaFont.com.

It was a pretty quick design and send off because we waited too long to decide, but I am pleased with the result.

Tune in for more Lalaloopsy fun this week!
